Whitepaper

Hoodlums TCG is the first trading card game built natively on Robinhood Chain, combining the collectibility and strategy of traditional TCGs with the ownership and transparency of blockchain technology. Built for both crypto natives and traditional card game players, Hoodlums TCG brings true digital ownership to every card, every pack, and every battle.

The Problem

Traditional digital card games give players no real ownership of their cards. When the servers shut down everything is gone. Blockchain solves this by making every card a permanent NFT on Robinhood Chain that players own forever, can trade freely, and use in game regardless of what happens to any centralized platform.

The Solution

Every card is an NFT on Robinhood Chain, meaning players truly own their cards forever. Pack randomness is secured by a commit-reveal mechanism on chain so pulls are provably fair and cannot be manipulated. Cards can be traded on OpenSea, used in game, or held as collectibles.

The Collection

Hoodlums TCG Genesis is the founding set of 180 unique cards across five elemental types.

  • Blaze - fire and lava creatures.
  • Surge - electric and lightning creatures.
  • Grove - nature and plant creatures.
  • Mystic - shadow and void creatures.
  • Glint - light and golden creatures.

Each type has 10 unique characters across three evolution stages, Baby Hoodlum, Hoodlum, and Hood Lord, plus Trainer cards, Item cards, and Energy cards to complete the gameplay experience.

Card Rarities

  • Common is Baby Hoodlum stage characters.
  • Uncommon is Hoodlum stage characters.
  • Rare is Hood Lord stage characters.
  • Hood Legend is the 5 most powerful cards in the set, one per element, numbered 151/150 through 155/150.

Pack Mechanics

Each pack contains 10 cards with the following guaranteed contents:

  • 1 Energy card
  • 1 Trainer card
  • 1 Item card
  • 1 guaranteed Uncommon character
  • 1 Rare or Hood Legend character with 3% chance of Hood Legend
  • 5 Common characters

The Hood Pack is an ultra rare pack occurring at a rate of 1 in 750. Hood Pack contents include 1 Energy, 1 Trainer, 1 Item, all 5 Hood Legend cards, and 2 Commons.

Provably Fair Randomness

All pack randomness uses a commit-reveal mechanism. When a player purchases a pack their payment is locked and a commitment is recorded on chain. After a minimum of 3 blocks the player reveals their pack and the randomness is derived from a future block hash that nobody could have predicted at the time of purchase. This prevents front-running and ensures every pull is fair.

The $LUMS Token

$LUMS is the native reward token of Hoodlums TCG launched on hood.fun on Robinhood Chain. Players earn $LUMS by winning battles and tournaments. ETH from pack mint revenue is used to buy $LUMS from the open market on Robinhood Chain, creating continuous buy pressure and funding the rewards treasury.

  • Public Phase is $9.00 per pack, infinite supply, no wallet cap.
